Hi ! I am Lotte
From childhood, I was interested in making clothes. As a child, I was diligently sitting at the sewing machine, not for my dolls, but to make some clothes for my monkey. When I was growing up, I always had an idea in my head of a garment that I would like to find in the shops, but I never found it as I saw it in my imagination.
Finally, I came to terms with it and graduated as a midwife, a profession I practiced with great passion. Yet that desire to be able to design always remained latent in the back of my mind.
My divorce took my life in an unexpected direction, leaving me to raise two small children, aged 2 and 4 at the time, completely on my own. For many years, I saw only darkness. These years also shaped me into the woman I am today. I built up inner strength, which made me a strong and understanding woman, a good listener, and a source of encouragement for many people I have met along the way.
Before my father passed away last year at the age of 91, he told me that he had no regrets about his life. That he had always done everything he wanted to do. This made me realize that I don’t want to reach this age and realize that I never tried to fulfill my desire to design. I didn’t want to suppress my creative side until the end. Now that the children are growing up, I saw this as the ideal moment to take the plunge.
And so the adventure began… how exciting it is when you can do what you really love! My son, Igor, is also a born creative, and together we made the website what it is today. Igor took photos of mom with her first designs and understands very well the message I want to convey to my customers. It goes as follows:
We middle-aged women will have to keep working longer and longer. We are the first generation of women who have to work a full career in order to enjoy a full pension. As a result, our age group will face specific needs that are currently not given much attention in the workplace. During menopause, we don’t always feel our best, our bodies change, and we are often tired due to all kinds of sleep problems and other issues that arise at our age.
The younger generation does not always understand this. Everything has to go faster and faster, the programs we use are becoming increasingly complex, and our years of experience are not always valued. The “norm” for aging women is becoming unreasonably high. The media does not help at all, promoting everything that will make you look as young as possible. Aging women no longer know what style of clothing to wear, they have to exercise, they have to follow a diet, they have to feel “happy,” go to self-help groups, and in some cases, they feel they have to show off everything they have accumulated in their lives. The pressure never stops, always having to, having to, having to… Before she knows it, she ends up with burnout, or worse, depression.
Whether you recognize yourself in this or not, it is certainly true that many women find it difficult to navigate the wide selection of clothing in boutiques. What is slightly “too young” for her age, what is not “granny-like,” how can she conceal the less attractive aspects of aging, and how can she still look attractive? ..
The new 50+ woman needs to rediscover her strength. She needs to know that she is there. That she has accumulated a wealth of wisdom, that her inner beauty shines through, making her attractive in her own unique way. Her stylish clothing style has been adapted and complements that of the younger generation. Every woman can be attractive in her own unique way at any stage of her life.
That is my wish for us, for you aging ladies! Thank you for wanting to participate in this fantastic journey, where we will stand together for the new strong 55+ ladies!
